Piano Lessons at Peabodys Piano Co.


At Peabodys Piano Co. in Midlothian, VA, we offer personalized, one-on-one piano lessons for students of all levels. Our experienced teachers provide professional instruction for beginners to experienced players and in-store lessons for piano, voice, guitar, bass, and ukulele. We have seven private studios available for our lessons, and each session lasts for 30 minutes to ensure focused and effective learning.

We welcome students of all ages and offer lessons for kids as young as five. We also provide senior lessons for those who want to learn or continue playing the piano. Our instructors are patient and understanding, working with each student to develop their skills at their own pace.

Meet Our Music Instructors

Danielle S.

Piano, Voice

Danielle is a professional singer with over ten years of experience. The mezzo-soprano holds a bachelor of music degree with a focus in vocal performance from Oakland University’s School of Music, Theatre, & Dance. In 2020, Danielle was a recipient of the David Daniels Young Artist Competition where she performed as a solo vocalist accompanied by the Oakland Symphony Orchestra. With a heart for teaching, Danielle's education supports her to coach topics such as healthy vocal production, musical expression, music theory, and audition preparation. No matter the age or genre, she hopes to inspire confidence, passion, and a love for music in all of her students. 

Diane K.

Piano

Diane K. has over 40 years musical experience, beginning her journey as a musician at an early age. As a trained classical pianist, she began teaching piano while still in high school in Southern California. After earning her degree in Music at California State University, Long Beach, she went on to become a performer for many colleges, churches, and choral organizations. Some highlights of her years as a touring musician include being a featured performer at Makena Resort in Maui, as well as the 2020 People with Purpose Gala to benefit the HERS Breast cancer foundation. Diane provides an incredible passion for connecting students with their musical gifts and over 25 years teaching experience, making her an excellent choice for piano students of any skill level.

Anastasia G.

Piano

A graduate of the prestigious Moscow Musical College named after A. Scriabin, Anastasia has dedicate her life to the study of the piano. A classically trained concertmaster and piano teacher, Anastasia's favorite composers include J.S. Bach, F. Chopin, S. Rachmaninov, L. van Beethoven, and N. Medtner. Her passion for classical technique and the study of piano makes her an incredible instructor and one of the most in demand teachers here at Peabodys Piano Co.

Dustin G

Piano, Guitar, Bass

Dustin is a highly qualified and experienced music teacher, and we are thrilled to have him here at Peabodys. He is a graduate of Shenandoah University, with a major in Music Production and Recording Technology, with a focus on Jazz Piano and a Minor in Classical Piano. Since 2011, he has been teaching piano, guitar, bass, and music theory to students of all ages and skill levels. Outside of Peabodys he plays in multiple bands and works as a mixing and mastering engineer. His experience makes him an amazing addition the Peabodys Piano Team.

Mike L.

Piano, Guitar, Ukulele

Mike has been teaching piano and guitar in the Greater Richmond area for over 10 years. He studied Piano Performance at VCU and has wide experience with music production and professional compositions. Michael's performance background includes playing professionally for local churches and several bands. Boasting a number of styles from classical, pop, rock, and gospel, Mike is a versatile performer and a valued teacher at Peabody's Piano Co.

Athena C.

Piano, Voice

For over 3 years, Athena has been teaching private voice and piano lessons on a professional basis. After earning her degree in Music Education with an emphasis on vocal pedagogy from McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois, Athena came to Richmond to teach voice. She has performed in multiple ensembles as a member of the St. Louis Metro Theatre Community, the No-Name Choral Ensemble, and the McKendree University Choral Ensemble. Currently she is the vocal coach for the Show Choir Program at Randolph Macon College. Her musical repertoire and energetic personality make her an excellent teacher.

Adrian G.

Guitar, Ukulele, Electric Bass, Piano

For over 2 years, Adrian has been teaching incredible technique for guitar at Peabody's Piano Co. An almunus of the VCU Arts program, Adrian's style of teaching is very flexible for his students' needs. He excels at both acoustic and electric guitar in a variety of styles from rock to pop to classical. His instruction has laid the musical foundation for many of Peabody's guitar students. Whether teaching guitar, ukulele, or piano, Adrian is popular for his laid-back teaching style that inspires confidence in all of his students.

Lorraine C.

Piano

Lorraine has been playing piano for over 20 years, and excels at classical piano instruction. Prior to working at Peabodys, she was an accompanist and teacher in the Chicago area. A graduate of the VCU School of Arts, she is excellent at teaching students both new and experienced. Trained in multiple styles including classical, jazz, and popular repertoires, Lorraine brings an enthusiastic and upbeat energy in teaching all students.
